Launching the boat at Johns Creek Boat Ramp |
We arrived at Point Samson well before lunch time and after a quick set up, we were off to launch the boat. Point Samson is very nice. The Cove Caravan Park is pretty much right on the water. For $44 a night plus $6 each kid, you get a double concrete slab and gravel site and showers big enough to fit the family in and the kids favourite; a TV room. We haven't watched television for over a month, so tv has become a bit of a novelty for the kids.

Jarman Island Lighthouse & Lighthouse Keepers House ruins |
So after a bit of cruising around in the boat and a little fishing, the kids and I were dropped off at Jarman Island to explore.

Our Moteley Crew- Jarman Island Lighthouse |
Another thing we like about The Cove Caravan Park is that they have real barbeques, not those silly alloy ones that never get hot enough. We didn't have room for our gas BBQ in the camper. Chris' home made (from his second home that is, a place I am not aloud to mention we get things from) barbecue plate is always in the camper but can only be used when we can have a camp fire.

Jarman Island Lighthouse |
Fabulous photos of Jarman Island, in particular the ruins of the Lighthouse Keeper’s home which is where my mother was born in 1915! It is the first time I have seen a photo of the home.
