The beach near the Mahina shipwreck? |
We were sad to leave Cape Range but it was time to get to Exmouth. We had a bit of a list of tasks to get done in town. We stopped and checked out a few of the beaches along the way. We stayed at the Big 4 caravan park it is the most expensive place we have ever stayed. $180 with our member discout for three nights. Another Exmouth Peninsular Beach |
Lyndal and Paul arrived, so the kids disappeared off to play with them and Chris and I ran into town for supplies. Nothing special about Exmouth especially when it is really windy, like it was for our two whole days there. They have two IGA's. The story is that there was originally an IGA and another small grocery shop. When the smaller grocery shop went up for sale, the IGA owner bought it to prevent Coles or Woolies moving into town. So note to fellow travellers, don't shop at the IGA Express. It is a lot cheaper to shop at the regular IGA. It is my birthday today, so the kids made me a cake which we shared with our friends just before the open air movie.
